Development Centre

The Club run a very successful Development Centre at Turnhams Farm in Tilehurst on Saturday mornings from 9.30 a.m. until 11.00 a.m. throughout the school year with breaks at Christmas, Easter and during the summer.  Any children in School year’s 1 to 4 are welcome and encouraged to learn both the skills and ethics of football in a safe and friendly environment.

Coaching is provided in association with Geoff Warner, Assistant Academy Director at Reading FC.  All coaches are qualified to at least F.A. Level 1, with the majority qualified to at least F A level 2.

The cost is £3.00 per session payable on the day and children will need to register at the start of each session.

Year 4 children will participate in non competitive games arranged by the South Chiltern Minor League on Sunday mornings and held at the Madjeski Dome at Reading FC’s Madjeski Stadium.  There will be an additional fee payable for this at the game.

The soccer schools are a great way to get your child introduced to an organised environment where the emphasis is on fun and enjoyment rather than winning at all costs.

 

The Club also holds Soccer Schools in the football season during school half terms and details of these will be available on this website as they are arranged
