Disability Football Training

Inclusive Football Development

We aim to create a warm and welcoming space where every child—no matter their abilities or needs—can enjoy learning football at their own pace. We try to make it all about having fun, growing as individuals, and working together as a team, with extra care and support for children with SEN and SEMH needs.

SENsational Football Training!!

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our new Disability Football Training Sessions at The Avenue School, Tilehurst!  Thursdays 6.00 – 7.00 starting on 19th June 2025 – hurry and grab a place!

If you’re aged 11 – 16 and have a SEN disability, come and join us for an hour of fun, football, and friendship in a supportive and inclusive environment!

Led by experienced, SEN-trained coaches, these sessions are designed to be safe, enjoyable, and tailored to meet the needs of every individual.

Whether you’re new to the game or already love a kickabout, everyone is welcome. Our coaches are here to help you build confidence, improve skills, and most importantly make friends and have fun!

Come along and give it a try!

Here is what you need to do:

  1. Please register your child with us before they attend the Development Centre. It is simple to do and takes just a minute or two.
  2. You can make an online payment for the training sessions – no need to bring cash!
  3.  Sessions can be used whenever your child attends.

How to find the Training Pitch

The pitch is located within the grounds of The Avenue School Special Needs Academy Trust, Conwy Close, Tilehurst, Reading, RG30 4BZ

Please park in The Avenue School car park. As you approach the gates to the school, they will automatically open. Once parked, please walk between the School Building and The Meadway Sports Centre. Entry to the pitch is across the Sports Centre Car Park. Toilet facilities are available in the main reception of the school.

Please do not park in The Meadway Sports Centre Car Park.

Important information for Parents and Guardians

Parents and guardians are required to remain at the training sessions at all times. Coaches are not permitted to take children to the toilet. If a child is injured, unwell, or distressed, they will be sent to their parent or guardian for care.

If a parent or guardian must leave the training facility briefly, they must inform the coaches beforehand. At the end of the session, children will be lined up and handed over directly to their parent or guardian. Compliance with these guidelines is essential for the safety and well-being of all children.

Thank you for your cooperation!
